Register Chinese Domain with CNNIC Domestic Registrar NiceNIC

We much appreciate your choosing NiceNIC as your domain Registrar and much appreciate your persistent understanding & support in the past years.

Recently, some customers from outside of China requested to register Chinese domain names, i.e. .CN, .COM.CN, .中国 etc. with the materials issued by their own countries. However, NiceNIC as Chinese domestic Registrar has difficulty indeed in honoring such requests though we are honestly more than happy to help you and to your satisfaction, we are willing to make every effort.

We confirmed with CNNIC more than once and learned that CNNIC did neither issue official notification nor upload official documentations on CNNIC's website to clarify the diffierent policies they set to Registrars inside of China and outside.

Such regulation that limited domestic Registrars to process customers from outside of China's requests of registering Chinese domain names(.CN, .COM.CN, .中国 etc) with customer's own materials have existed for couple of years since the Chinese domain registration got available to individuals/companies outside of China.

Our Registrar Liaison Manager explained why CNNIC set such limit is because different countries have different legal systems and CNNIC can not verify the materials' authenticity conveniently, such as Registrant's company business license and Registrant's passport issued based on foreign laws.

Per the Registry-Registrar Agreement signed between CNNIC and Registrars outside of China, Registrars outside of China must agree to suffer the risk themselves and assure the materials provided to them are valid and authentic, or else, the domain registration request might be cancelled by CNNIC directly.

At present, domestic Registrars can only help customers from outside of China register Chinese domain names with trustee/proxy Service, which will NOT effect your managing the domain names, and the domain contact information shown to public under NiceNIC's trustee/proxy service would be NiceNIC's company profile registered in Hong Kong as follows:
