VeriSign has owned the domain name GetYour.net for a while, but today is the first time I saw an online ad promoting the site.
I saw the ad (pictured) on the BizJournals web site. It’s a video ad promoting businesses to register .net domain names and sends them to GetYour.net.
Screenshots.com shows that GetYour.net has been refreshed in the past couple months. The site includes links to .net accredited domain registrars.
These days a lot of the advertising I see on the web are retargeted ads telling me to register a particular domain, get my .co, or register a .xxx domain name. I can only imagine next year when new TLDs start rolling out…I think the only thing I’ll see are ads for domain names.
