Wang formally began his duties on Sunday 12th October, the first day of the 51st ICANN Meeting in Los Angeles, California.

Wang displays a modest demeanor, but it’s overshadowed by a lofty resume, inclusive of an impressive education and meaningful experience serving in multiple executive positions in the international business, technology, and domain name sectors.

Wang received his bachelor’s degree in International Business at the Beijing University of Chemical Technology, graduating with first class honors, in the top 10 percentile. Wang’s time at BUCT was distinguished with many awards for academic performance and student leadership.

During his undergraduate studies, Wang was selected as an exchange student to join an international business program at Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland. After graduation, Wang travelled to Europe and earned a postgraduate MSc management degree from the prestigious Imperial College, London.

Prior to joining TLD Registry, Wang served as the Business Operations Officer for the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) in Beijing, a consulting associate for IBM, and a consulting associate for the International Trademark Association (INTA).

“We are completely confident that Jin’s extensive experience will translate into accomplishing the goals we have set for our world-leading Chinese top-level domains, Dot Chinese Online and Dot Chinese Website,” Isokoski said.

Wang will be overseeing and managing all business operations for China, including registrar, media, government, and all other stakeholder relations.

“The TLD Registry team has demonstrated a fundamentally excellent business plan and has the deep bench of talent to execute it,” Wang said, “I am thrilled to get started.”
