Newfold Digital's domain auction services NameJet and SnapNames combined to sell 96 domains for $2,000 or more last month. These sales totaled $586,000.
Many of the sales were less about the domain and more about how the domain was previously used. In fact, I think that was the case for about 2/3rds of them. Sean Markey, who writes about SEO for Domain Name Wire, will have a separate post explaining why some of those domains sold for so much.
But the #2 sale on the list was a great domain: millionaires.com for $60,100. This domain previously "sold" for $127,000 but apparently, the buyer never paid. Newfold's business unit BuyDomains.com was the seller.
Here are some other domains that stood out to me:
NaturalLanguage.com $4,100 - A great domain especially for the AI world.
InternetInvestors.com $3,844 - More than a few people who read this blog would like this domain.
BetOptions.com $3,699 - A good investing domain.
MindMatch.com $3,610 - A nice brandable for a two-sided marketplace, perhaps for research/asking questions of experts.
FunctionalMed.com $2,766 - Functional medicine is a rebranding of alternative health.
And more ... ...
